Our team was in Miami Beach for VerkadaOne 2026, September 16–18 at the Fontainebleau. There was plenty to cover: new products for vehicles and audio, more ways to work with AI, and updates to the cameras, doors, and intercoms businesses use every day.
For us at Logic, the most useful part of a launch is figuring out where it fits. Will it save someone a trip to a site? Make footage easier to find? Help the person at the front desk handle a busy morning? Those are the questions we bring to the announcements below.
Bringing fleet video into Command
Verkada Transportation brings vehicle cameras and fleet tools into Command, the platform used to manage Verkada systems. Teams can access footage remotely instead of waiting for a vehicle to return to the depot.
That’s a meaningful change for an organization responsible for both facilities and a fleet. An investigation may start in a parking lot and continue onto a bus. Having those pieces in one system could make the review easier. The installation still needs careful planning, including connectivity, camera placement, and who needs access to the video.
A closer look at audio
Verkada Sound Systems adds centrally managed music and announcements. New network speakers are part of the lineup, but the audio players are particularly interesting: they can bring existing speakers and amplifiers into Command.
If you’ve already invested in an audio system, it’s worth checking what can stay. For a business with several locations, being able to manage audio from one place could also take some work off local staff. We’d start by looking at the equipment already installed and how each location uses it.
A clearer picture of your site
Verkada Maps puts devices and facility information into an interactive view. That could be useful when someone responding to an alert doesn’t know the building well. Seeing where an event is happening helps give the video context.
There’s new hardware, too. The CTB63 combines visible and thermal imaging. The AW33 Wireless Access Controller and TK74 Touchscreen Intercom expand the options for doors and visitor entry. Each deserves a look where it addresses a specific site need. A loading area, an office entrance, and a property with multiple tenants call for different decisions.
AI was another part of the announcements. Catalyst connects Command with supported AI platforms, while a Skydio integration can launch a drone from configured alerts and bring aerial video into Command. Both were announced as private betas. We’d approach them with a defined task in mind and test how they fit the people and procedures already in place.

As of September 19, 2026, some announcements are still ahead of general release. Verkada lists October 8 for its October software updates, unless otherwise noted. Hardware timing varies; Maps, Catalyst, and the Skydio integration are in beta. We’ll confirm availability and compatibility as part of project planning.
