Network Closets Built
To Be Worked In.

Every cable in your building ends up in a closet. When that room is planned well, adding a user is a quick patch. When it isn’t, a simple move turns into an afternoon of tracing unlabeled cables.

Logic LC designs and builds main and intermediate distribution frames (MDF and IDF) for commercial buildings. We install the racks, cabinets, patch panels and cable management, run the copper and fiber backbone between closets, and label everything so your IT team can find any port without tracing it. For long runs and closet-to-closet links, see our fiber optic cabling service.

Our network infrastructure work includes:

Space, Power, Air
And Room To Grow.

A closet is more than a rack in a leftover room. Network equipment needs floor space, power, ventilation and enough clearance to service it. Before we install anything, we confirm the rack locations, cable management and pathways back to each floor or wing.

We also check the power side of Power over Ethernet. Cameras, access points and phones draw from the switch, so we review each device and the switch’s total power budget, not only the port count.

Then we plan for growth, not just opening day:

Professional reviewing structured cabling for new commercial buildings

Untangle The Closet
You Inherited.

Most closets we walk into grew one cable at a time. Different installers, no labels, patch cords draped across the rack. It works until someone has to troubleshoot it.

We trace, tone and label what is already there, test the runs, and find damaged cables, bad terminations and connections nobody can identify. Then we re-dress the rack with proper cable management so it stays clean. Cleanups can be scheduled after hours or on weekends to keep downtime off your workday.

Network Management & Monitoring

A Network You Can See,
Day And Night.

The physical build is only half the job. Logic LC can also manage and monitor your network once it is running, with real-time monitoring, a complete inventory of your equipment, infrastructure management and automated network backups. Our 24/7 monitoring is there to spot problems before they cause disruption, and when a switch port starts logging errors, our technicians can test the run and find the fault.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an MDF and an IDF?

The MDF (main distribution frame) is the main network closet, usually where your internet service and core equipment live. IDFs (intermediate distribution frames) are the smaller closets that serve individual floors or areas, linked back to the MDF by a copper or fiber backbone.

We plan cleanups around your hours. Tracing, labeling and testing can often happen during the day, and the work that interrupts connections can be scheduled for evenings, overnight or weekends when available.
